Born in Düsseldorf, Germany, nothing about Annette Girardon’s business studies background suggested she might become a Jewellery Designer in Paris, Place Vendôme quarter. However, her grandmother, a jeweller in East Prussia, must have indicated her inclination to gems. Indeed, it’s now been 17 years since she receives the confidences of a clientele in search of a creative adventure. The adventure being to transform their inner self into a piece of jewellery that can only belong to them alone. One of a kind jewel. Annette has the answer as her work is essentially inspired from the personality of her clientele.

Annette acquires her first skills at the BJO School, rue du Louvre in Paris. She learns about the traditional and meticulous process of jewel-making: model-wax, melting, work on metal, setting, polishing.

She decides to go independent, following a time designing for a leading jeweller in Geneva, and starts creating jewellery under her own name. From then on she presents her work at numerous jewellery designer fairs in Paris, as well as in Düsseldorf and London.
